Showtime! (13. Tag / Day 13)

Heute fand sie statt: Die Auto/Motorshow in Akureyri zum Abschluss der „Bíladagar“. Es gab jede Menge interessante Autos und andere Fahrzeuge zu sehen, darunter auch ein Elektromotorrad :-). Ich habe viele Flyer über meine Tour verteilen können und einige interessante Gespräche geführt. „Elektrisch“ heißt auch Isländisch „rafmagns“ und dieses Wort habe ich immer wieder mit einem überraschenden Tonfall gehört, wenn Leute an meinem Motorrad vorbeigelaufen sind. Ein schöner und auch langer Tag, denn ich wurde nach der Motorshow noch ins Motorradmuseum von Akureyri eingeladen. Die hatten auch ein paar Bikes ausgestellt nicht weit von meinem. Das Museum ist wirklich sehenswerte, ich hatte nicht sowas großes erwartet.
Danach war ich noch etwas essen und bin dann die 100 km zum Mývatn zum Besuch bei Freunden gefahren.

Alles ist aufgebaut, die Besucher können kommen. Diese Jahr gibt es 8 Ford Mustangs in der Ausstellung.

Mein herzlicher Danke an den Autoclub (bíla = Auto) Akureyri für die Einladung und die Möglichkeit diesen schönen Tag auf der Motorshow erleben zu dürfen.

Neben meinem Motorrad waren auch welche aus dem Motorradmuseum in Akureyri ausgestellt. Ich bekam eine Einladung das Museum nach der Motorshow noch zu besuchen. Sie haben extra für mich aufgemacht, vielen Dank!

Das Museum wurde gegründet nachdem ein bekannter Unternehmer aus Island mit seinem Motorrad wegen einer Windböe ums Leben kam. Dieser Raum erinnert an ihn.

Ich war überrascht, wie groß das Museum ist und wieviele Ausstellungsstücke es zu sehen gab. Hier ein ehemaliges Polizeimotorrad von Akureyri.

Auf meinem weiteren Weg am Abend, 100 km zum Mývatn kam ich auch am bekannten Goðafoss vorbei.

Today it took place: the car / motor show in Akureyri as the final of the „Bíladagar“. There were plenty of interesting cars and other vehicles to see, including an electric motorcycle :-). I have been able to distribute many flyers about my tour and have had some interesting discussions. „Electric“ in Icelandic means „rafmagns“ and this word I have heard over and over again with a surprising tone when people past my motorcycle.
