Die Reiseroute habe ich bereits seit Ende 2017 in Planung. Wichtig ist natürlich die Reichweite des Motorrads und passende Ladestopps zu berücksichtigen. Meistens werde ich über Nacht an der Unterkunft laden. Die Unterkünfte sind seit Februar 2018 komplett gebucht, Zelten werde ich nicht.
Das Bild unten zeigt den Reiseverlauf. Start ist im Osten in Seyðisfjörður. Dann geht es im Gegenuhrzeigersinn um Island, inklusive eines Abstechers in die Nordwestfjorde. Als touristisches Highlight hoffe ich, dort den Dynjandi Wasserfall zu erreichen. An diesem Tag werde ich auch durch Patreksfjörður fahren und am weitesten vom Startpunkt entfernt sein. Ein weiterer Höhepunkt der Reise wird die Teilnahme an der Car Show am 17. Juni in Akureyri sein.
The travel route has been in plannung since end 2017. Important is of course to consider the range of the motorcycle and suitable breaks for charging. Mostly I plan to charge over night at my accomodations. The accomodations are completely booked since February ’18, I am not going to sleep in a tent.
The picture below shows the itinerary. Start is in the east in Seyðisfjörður. Then I go counterclockwise around Iceland including a detour to the northwest fjords. As a tourist highlight I hope to reach the Dynjandi waterfall there. On this day I will also drive through Patreksfjörður and be farthest from the starting point. Another highlight of the trip will be participation in the Car Show on June 17 in Akureyri.
